（2）短文朗读及回答问题（四级）：四级的自我介绍后是短文朗读及就短文内容回答问题，这一内容仅出现在四级口语考试中。考生要利用45秒的准备时间将电脑屏幕上的一段文字（120词左右）快速浏览一遍，把握主要内容，并注意按意群断句。

阅读：朗读的时候，带着自信和干练，按照意群和句子停顿，不要像唱歌一样哼；尽可能发音清晰准确，语调自然，停顿合适，语流流畅（该连读的地方注意连读）。如果其中有不认识的个别单词，不必紧张，凭感觉去读即可，不影响大局。不少中国学生最大的问题是语调，但自然的语调不是短短几天就能练出来的，需要相当一段时间的模仿练习，不过备考时可以找一些段落练习，注意句子中的单词重读和弱读问题，即重读实词和强调的词，弱读虚词。备考练习时最好就按照45秒准备和1分钟朗读的考试要求进行，这样考试时才能从容应对。

回答问题：朗读后，每名考生要求回答2个与所朗读的短文有关的问题。鉴于每个问题的回答时间不超过20秒，考生只需直接回答问题即可，不必展开论述；所问问题一般也不要求考生对短文内容进行太复杂的记忆，甚至只是与短文话题相关的问题，所以考生就短文内容自己总结即可。但是在问答的环节，电脑屏幕上不会再显示短文内容，所以考生在前面的45秒准备和1分钟朗读时，一定要把握短文的主要内容。尤其是45秒的准备时间是关键，朗读的时候很容易忽略对内容的注意。

（3）问答（六级）：六级的自我介绍后是回答考官的一个问题，30秒作答时间。考官所问问题与自我介绍内容无关，但与下一环节的个人陈述与两人互动讨论的话题有关。这个问题一般不难，考生简单说明自己的观点即可，但几句话的条理要清晰，同时注意电脑屏幕上的时间限制。这个问题同自我介绍一样，主要是帮助考生热身，从而进入下面核心话题的状态。

（4）个人陈述和两人互动讨论：这是四六级口语考试中均包含的一个环节，也是整个口语考试的重点内容。这部分要求考生根据考官的指示和屏幕显示的文字或画面提示做陈述，两个考试中对个人陈述时间的要求不同：四级准备45秒，陈述1分钟，六级准备1分钟，陈述1分30秒，之后的互动讨论都是3分钟。

个人陈述：不同于20-30秒的问题回答，四六级对个人陈述的要求可理解为一篇口头版的四六级小作文，且准备时间远比笔试作文的准备时间有限。这里虽没有字数、语速要求，但总体来说，个人陈述内容可根据所给提示按总-分-总的结构展开，即首先挑明观点，再陈述原因，最后再简单总结。

注意：一开始就所给提示话题直接亮明观点、选择一方，不要选择中立的立场，例如话题是“高考的必要性”，要么就认为高考是必要的，要么就认为是不必要的，不要有模棱两可或自认为更全面但其实是立场不清楚的观点。亮明观点后，如何陈述所持观点的原因或论据很关键，一般来说给出2个原因最好，每个原因分别用2-3句话展开，这样的阐述既不单薄，也照顾到系统对陈述时间的限定。展开阐述的方式可以是解释你的逻辑、举例、正说反说、引用名言或数据等阐释，相对来说直接解释自己的逻辑和举例比较容易在短时间内准备好。陈述原因时不要思维太跳跃，更不要追求太“高大上”的词，直接、准确解释清楚最好；语速也不要太快，适当给自己边想边说而又不反复卡壳停顿的时间。最后，一两句话再次重申自己的观点即可，如果能换个说法，不用开头说的那句话最好。

两人互动讨论：互动讨论检测的是考生用英语进行连贯的口头表达，以及发表意见、理解他人观点、参与讨论和进行辩论等更真实的口头交际能力。讨论的过程可有问有答，注意互动，不要自己一直说，但也不能一直听对方说，一般是个回合的对话。表达观点、意见时，同个人陈述一样，既要清晰亮明自己的观点，切忌模棱两可，也要解释为什么，即适当的阐述，阐述的方法同上面一样。

（5）问答（六级）：在互动后，六级还有一个问答环节。考生再次各自回答考官的一个问题（45秒），从而进一步展示自己的口头交际能力。一般来说，这个问答的主要意义是针对在上一环节表现不太理想的考生，例如个人陈述不太理想，或两人讨论互动中的贡献也较少，这个环节的问答就给了他最后一次展示的机会。
